This virtual herbarium is one of the first virtual herbariums in the world.

VHLV Virtual Herbarium

  In this study; It includes the methods and tools of transferring the materials collected in the floristic studies carried out in Van and its surroundings between 1994 and 2005 in the Biology Department of Yüzüncü Yıl University Faculty of Education Secondary Education Science and Mathematics Fields Education to the virtual environment. Pictures of collected plants, fresh and dry materials are kept in the Material Development and Preparation Room; The methods followed for storing and transferring to digital media and the virtual-real and teaching tools used are introduced. In addition, the justifications for the methods that have been followed and will be followed in the studies that have been done and will be carried out for the Flora of Van and the Country are introduced. Approximately 6 thousand images in the Van Virtual Herbarium; It consists of dry and fresh materials and live pictures of the plants collected by Nasip Demirkuş (ND), Mehmet Koyuncu (MK), Mehmet Fırat (MF) and Metin Armağan (MA). The preparation, functioning, validity and necessity of the Van Virtual Herbarium will be introduced.

Her kuru ve taze bitki görüntüsünün ait olduğu kuru bitki örneği sanal herbaryum yayın odasın raflarda hazır ve özgün sistematik kurallara göre dizilecektir. Bu kuru bitki örneklerinin demonstrasyon örneği olması nedeniyle tahrip olmaması gerekir. Çünkü görüntüyle eşleşmesi güçleşebilir.
